Sad news hit the horseracing world today as it was confirmed top-class filly Snowfall (Deep Impact x Best In The World) trained by Aidan O'Brien and owned by Derrick Smith & Mrs John Magnier & Michael Tabor has been put down after she suffered a pelvic injury a few weeks prior. (More here)
Snowfall's wins in 2021 included the Group 3 Musidora Stakes and Group 1 victories in the Epsom Oaks, Irish Oaks and Yorkshire Oaks. Winning the Epsom Oaks by a record 16 lengths (video below).
In the same year she picked up the Cartier Champion Three-year-old Filly Award.
